Jimmy Wayne and American Idol Season 9′s Jimmy Charles Are Tonight’s Guests On Country Music Chat aka #CMchat

As many of you know, I’m a huge fan of country music singer-songwriter and author Jimmy Wayne. So much so, I created an entire site dedicated to him at JimmyWayne.TheCountrySite.com.

That’s why I’m thrilled that he will be one of the featured guests on @JessicaNorthey’s Country Music Chat aka #CMchat on Twitter tonight, Monday, February 27th at 9ET/6PT. In addition to Jimmy Wayne, American Idol Season 9 contestant Jimmy Charles will also be a guest tonight.

You can follow the chat on CMchat.net, or use the hashtag #CMchat in your tweets and they will show up in the stream for other chat participants to view. When you sign into CMchat.net, it will let you view the chat in real-time at your own speed (its adjustable) and the #CMchat hashtag will automatically appear on your tweet.

If you are on Tweetdeck, Hootsuite or on the Twitter.com platform just click on the #CMchat hashtag and a window should open for you that will segregate the #CMchat tweets.

Now in it’s 8th month, #CMchat has generated over 500 million impressions on Twitter with an average weekly reach well over 1 million according to Hashtracking.com. #CMchat “Where Country Music Meets YOU” is the first and only registered LIVE “Country Music Chat” on Twitter, hosted by it’s founder Jessica Northey and dedicated to all things Country Music including different topics from getting your music played on radio to Social Media strategy and of course getting the inside scoop from Country Musicians, Broadcasting Personalities, Radio and Label Executives and Fans alike! This community is an open-forum and everyone is always invited to come chitter on Twitter with Country Music’s best!

To get you in the mood for tonight’s chat, here’s a look at my favorite Jimmy Wayne song and video for I Love You This Much as well as a very cool video for Jimmy Charles’ song Our First Dance.

See you all tonight!

Jimmy Wayne’s ‘Paper Angels’ Book Released Today

Jimmy Wayne’s book Paper Angels was released today. Wondering what it’s about? Here’s the description straight from Amazon:

“Kevin Morrell is a forty-three-year-old husband and father who runs a successful design and marketing firm that’s crashed into the suffering economy. Attempting to navigate the busyness of the mall at Christmas, Kevin is humbled when he stumbles across the Salvation Army’s Angel Tree Project. His wife insists that he take a paper ornament.

The name on the ornament is Thomas Brandt, a fifteen-year-old still reeling from the implosion of his family—from years of verbal abuse from an alcoholic father to a mother who finally left him behind, only to find herself and her children penniless and struggling. The only thing has allowed Lynn to survive is her faith. Thomas shares that faith, but he also wonders why God has seemingly abandoned them.

This is the story about a man and a boy one December. A man whose life is changed by a simple expression of kindness, and a boy who takes that expression of kindness and shows the true meaning of Christmas.”

You can pick up a copy today at Amazon.com. Also, be sure to follow Jimmy on Twitter @JimmyWayne, just in case you’ve never seen/heard his video for his single Papar Angels, here it is as well. Enjoy!

Jimmy Wayne To Re-Create His ‘Meet Me Halfway’ Walk In Documentary

Tennessean.com is reporting that filming will begin in Nashville next week on a documentary about Jimmy Wayne’s ‘Meet Me Halfway’ walk. Colorado-based i25productions will be filming the documentary, and Jimmy will be re-tracing his steps in a car.

Said Wayne,

“It’s easy to try and explain to people what it’s like out there, but until you really see the places where I slept and the people I met … this is going to give people an opportunity to see exactly what I experienced out there.”

“It’s not going to be some downloaded sound of rain,” he says. “It’s the rain I heard on the walk. I want a blind person to hear this thing and be able to see the desert. It’s very artistic. The video documentary and the music are just more steps in raising awareness for these youth.”

We can’t wait to see the finished product!
